The Straughan’s Air It Out Football Academy provides scholarships to youth football players. We raise money to finance camp and league scholarships for student-athletes, who reflect a high level of commitment, character and financial need. Each year we provide scholarships to players in the third through eighth grades to attend camps and play in their leagues. We are eager to connect talented and hard working players to collegiate coaches who can help them realize their dream of playing at the next level. Every year there are about 500 colleges and universities in the NCAA which offer over 25,000 football scholarships. Josh Straughan attended the AIOFA camp for many years. He was a three sport athlete at a small high school. He rushed for 1,258 yards, completed 662 passes, and scored 141 TDs for 11,663 yards at Colton High School. He went on to earn a football scholarship from Stillman College and Southern Illinois University. He started as a freshman earning many conference and national awards. He finished his college career with 705 completions, 8,012 yards and 70 TDs. Josh is living proof that kids can play multiple sports at small high schools and excel at the college level.
Jake Straughan attended the AIOFA camp for many years. He was a three sport athlete at a small high school. He caught 112 receptions, completed 331 passes, and scored 141 TDs for 9,505 yards at Colton High School. He went on to earn a basketball scholarship at the University of Idaho. He was twice selected the Idaho Player of the Game as a freshman for putting up 24 points during one game and scoring another 23 against the University of Northern Colorado. Jake is living proof that kids can play multiple sports at small high schools and excel at the college level.
The Clearwater Football League is all about the kids. It has been run by the efforts of Rob, Jayne, Cody, and Kyle Hays. The CFL includes 3rd-4th and 5th-6th grade teams from Clarkston, Lewiston, Pullman, Moscow and other towns. It has helped thousands of kids to learn how to play the exciting game of football. The CFL has even played games in WSU's Martin Stadium and UI's Kibbie Dome. The Hays Family has devoted their efforts to making a positive difference within the lives of children.
